Road Trip!: A Real-Life Review of Where I've Been

Okay, I promise I didn't forget about my blog. I've thought about it literally every day since my last post. I've just had a busy few weeks! Between a job interview, almost dying while going to the gym, packing for and going on a vacation, and starting the new job, I've only had time to consume the content, not review it haha.

Before we get into all of that though, check out my blog's new logo! Thanks to my aunt Cindy and her daughter for seeing the original logo, adding their own spin to it (actual tater tots instead of regular potatoes), and allowing me to use it! I love it!
Now let's discuss about why it took me so long to update the blog. Life is crazy y'all.
During the last week of July, I received a phone call from a colleague saying my name had been brought up in discussions for a position at the company where she is works in the HR and Accounting department. I told her I was interested and the following week I had an interview. The next day, I got a call with a job offer, which I quickly accepted!
It's a part-time job in a financial office, assisting with data entry, specifically dealing with estates upon the passing of our clients. Between this and my other part-time job, I'm up to 40 hours a week with some pretty decent benefits. I began last week with a few training shifts, but today was my first full-day! I'm already learning a lot and loving the job!
When the job was offered to me, I had to let them know that I couldn't immediately start- I had a vacation to go on! My family had been planning to visit my aunt Eileen in Colorado for about a year and I wasn't about to miss that.

This was my second time visiting Denver and I appreciated it a lot more this time since I've become more physically active lol. I genuinely enjoyed all the walking that we did that week and even worked out in my aunt's condo's fitness center one of the days! Okay, it was just one day, but the other days I got PLENTY of cardio in.
We went to a wonderful botanical garden (I got very sunburnt), hiked up many rock formations (potentially heard a rattlesnake and steered clear), visited some typical tourist destinations (would be very fun to see a concert at Red Rocks, but not this time), and checked out an incredible modern art museum (we spent nearly 5 hours there and still didn't see everything), among MANY other things.
All in all, I've had a very interesting few weeks. I've found time here and there to watch TV and read a (very long) book, so keep an eye out for those review VERY soon. From here on out, my goal is to post much more regularly. No vacations planned for the next month or so...
